MOSHPIT
The mosh pit is a cluster of people gathered in front of the stage at concerts. In the mosh pit the audience dance energetically and push against each other. The mosh pit is a ritual space for fans and affiliates. A condensation of energy and ecstasy. However, in the mosh pit, generally perceived as rather masculine, white and violent, there is also a form of care being performed: a physical game of pushing away and catching each other, a dance between alertness and loss of control, between physical collision and bodily sensation, mental spaces and possible worlds. During her stay at QO2 Louise Vind Nielsen will dive into the moshpit, which will be the conceptual and artistic focal point of her research.
